  • Scampi can also be called Norway Lobster, Dublin Bay Prawn, Langoustine
  • Not to be confused with a product called 'Pacific Scampi' (Metanephrops adamanicus OR Metanephrops challengeri) sourced in Asia which has recently appeared on the market
  • Nephrops landings are controlled by EU quota
  • The main points of landings and sale are in Scotland and Northern Ireland
