Perfect dips to serve with seafood this Christmas!

 

Put the ‘sea’ in seasonal this Christmas by adding some tasty seafood to your festive feasts!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for a competition! We’re spreading Christmas cheer by giving you the chance to win the ultimate party buffet to share with your friends and family.

We’ve teamed up with Stokes Sauces who are kindly giving away a load of their delicious products for you to pair with our Whitby Seafoods goodies. To make sure your festive season is top-notch we’re giving away enough tasty seafood to feed a small army of party guests.

If you need a bit of inspiration for your dip creation, we’ve created some of our favourite recipes below to help you out: 

Creamy Chilli Calamari Dip

What you will need:

  • 1 pack of our bloomin’ special Breaded Calamari Rings
  • 2 tablespoons of Stokes Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of Stokes Real Mayonnaise

Method:

  • Cook the calamari to packet instructions
  • Whilst cooking, mix together the sweet chilli sauce and the mayonnaise
  • Once cooked, remove the calamari from the oven and place on a serving plate alongside the sweet and creamy chilli dip
  • Tuck in and enjoy!

Cooking for a crowd? Simply double or triple the quantities to suit

Sparkling Scampi Dip

What you will need:

  • 1 pack of our bloomin’ special scampi
  • 2 tablespoons of Stokes Real Mayonnaise or Marscapone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of Prosecco

Method:

  • Cook the scampi to packet instructions
  • Whilst cooking, mix together the mayonnaise (or Marscapone) and Prosecco
  • Once cooked, remove the scampi from the oven and place on a serving plate alongside the festive fizz dip
  • Tuck in and enjoy!
  • For an extra festive twist, why not add in a little drop of edible glitter for extra sparkle

Dill-icious Whitebait Dip 

What you’ll need:

  • 1 pack of our crispy whitebait
  • 1 tablespoon of creme fraiche
  • 1 tablespoon of Stokes Saices Real Mayonaise
  • A pinch of Dill
  • Cucumber
  • Lime

Method:

  • Cook the whitebait as per the packet instructions
  • Mix the creme fraiche and Stokes Sauces Real Mayonaise together in a bowl
  • Roughly chop the dill and finely grate the cucumber and add to the bowl
  • Finish with a squeeze of lime

For a chunkier dip roughly chop the cucumber. Serve with piping hot whitebait for a festive buffet your guests will be talking about until next year!

Bloody Mary Scampi Sauce

What you will need:

  • 1 pack of our bloomin’ special scampi
  • 5 tablespoons of Stokes Sauces Real Mayonnaise
  • Stokes Sauces Bloody Mary Tomato Ketchup
  • A lemon
  • Crushed black pepper

Method:

  • Cook the scampi to packet instructions
  • Mix the mayonnaise and Bloody Mary ketchup together in a bowl.
  • Add the black pepper to taste and a squeeze of lemon

Serve on a bed of lettuce for a great prawn cocktail alternative this Christmas.

The winner will be chosen at random and contacted on Monday 9th December. We will allow a bonus entry for anyone who shares a photo of their dip.
